I’ve been thinking about the "filter effect" lately—how everything we see online is the most polished version of reality. Sometimes, watching porn videos can make me feel like my own life is a bit too "ordinary." I had a great talk with my partner about it, and we realized that the "ordinary" moments—like making coffee or just sitting together—are actually what matter most. We’ve started viewing adult content as a "fictional escape" rather than a standard to live up to. Has anyone else had to recalibrate their expectations after spending a lot of time in digital spaces?

I saw the title of this thread while browsing the "Photography & Editing" board. It’s a very relevant point—in a world where we can edit almost anything, the most valuable thing we have is the "unedited" truth. I think the conversation you guys are having is a great example of how to maintain a healthy mindset in the 2020s. I’m off to check some lens reviews now, but I appreciate the thoughtful read!
